Essential Oil Acutherapy for Children

Date(s): 16 October 2025

Time: 10am - 5pm

Eligibility: Qualified acupuncturists

Venue: College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading

Essential oils are a non-invasive, well-tolerated and extremely effective way of addressing common imbalances in children.  As acupuncturists, we can use essential oils on acupuncture points and channels.  This provides an instant synergy beyond what acupuncture and herbal medicine can each provide separately.

During the day, we will look at how to use essential oils in your practice safely according to their Chinese medicine properties.  You will leave confident to incorporate essential oils into your practice in order to support children with conditions we commonly see in clinic, including:

  • Digestive issues
  • Respiratory and allergic conditions
  • Mental-emotional difficulties

Essential oil acutherapy is a wonderful way to begin working with children.  They have a rapid and profound effect on different levels of qi: wei, ying and yuan, as well as on the shen/spirit.  We will explore and get to know a key collection of the most commonly used oils.  Children will love their treatments and you will be amazed by your outcomes!
